Antique Floor and Roof Tiles
The traditional Provencial mas or stone farmhouses were built with thick stone walls to keep the heat out in the summer and to protect from the fierce gusts of the mistral in the winter. Local materials were used... tiled roofs made of thick, red terracotta and curved in shape... roughly cut stone bricks for the walls... and red clay tiles known as tommettes covered the floor.
We have a limited supply of these antique floor and roof tiles which have been completely restored by artisans in Provence.
